If anyone is going to the koko club, the cobden arms is a very nice pub, some of us met up before the awards started and wathced a world cup match that was with a beer in my hand.
The show started with two dudes dressed in battle gear started fighting, I thought that was a waste of time to tell the truth, still it got the crowd going and the guys were going at it.
Avenged Sevenfold shouldn't have got shit they are simply terrible, Aiden were booed when they got their award.
Lordi collecting their award was a bit of a supprise, woulda been nice if they played instead of dragonforce, as much as I dislike DF, bass was way too high, I could hear the solo on through the fire and flames, but they did gain my respect last night. Trivium getting their award(s) was awesome such a great band.
The suprise for me was Viking Skull, I had never heard of them before and I was very pleased with what I heard them play.
As I managed to get myself about four/five rows of people from the front in readiness for LC, I noticed Ash who's barcode tattoo looks soo much better in person, then found Jamie and Karen just before they appeared, then a minute or two later LC appeared with a massive drumset and the whole set they played simply put was absolutely incredible, there are no other words to describe them.
Finally BFMV fucking brilliant, better live than I had expected, shame I had about three or four 14 year old girls screaming the whole way through bullets act. I'm sure the tickets said over 16's anyways about halfway through bullets third song all of a sudden a wall of flames shot up in time with the song, the fucking heat from that was scorching, not that it made much difference to the sweatbox that was the koko club.
The pit through bullets set pissed me off, trying not to get dragged into the pit meant I was missing part of an awesome set by them. I saw Jamie jumped straight into the pit nearly taking some poor bastard off his feet.
All thats left for me to say is CHEERS MATT @ emptyspiral you rule!
